POSITION: INTERVENTION SPECIALIST

Effective 2024-25 School Year

LOCATION: KETTERING FAIRMONT HIGH SCHOOL

GENERAL INFORMATION: Seeking applicants with Ohio K-12 Intervention Specialist teaching license.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, Partial List:

  1. Develops measurable educational goals and objectives based on assessment data and progress monitoring documentation.
  2. Knowledgeable about co-teaching and universal education.
  3. Participates in school-wide professional development programs and activities.
  4. Communicates with parents and guardians of assigned students daily/weekly.
  5. Maintains records regarding student progress that is aligned with common core state standards.
  1. Provides a variety of instructional experiences for all students based on individual needs and on-going data/progress monitoring.
  1. Works well in collaboration with other teachers, counselors, & community professionals.


QUALIFICATIONS, Partial List:

  1. Valid Ohio teaching license.
  2. Must pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
  3. Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  4. Educational technology skills.
  5. Preference given to those with experience in English Language Arts.


SALARY: According to the approved teacher salary schedule.
