  • Position Summary
    • Responsible for preparing and performing all office-based nuclear diagnostic studies; maintenance of the nuclear medicine lab while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and proficiency with appropriate clinical protocols.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiography or Nuclear Medicine.
    • License/Certifications: Licensed Radiologic Technician in Nuclear Medicine required. Certification from either the NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) or AART (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required. Current BLS certification.
    • Experience: Minimum two years practice or hospital experience.
    • Knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals, imaging techniques and computer applications.
    • Knowledge of safety, infection control, quality assurance and confidentiality regulations.
    • Knowledge of physical sciences, biological effects of radiation exposure, radiation protection and procedures.
    • Skill in administering radiopharmaceuticals and in operating camera and computer for imaging.
    • Knowledge of crash cart emergency procedures and contents and proper response to emergency situations.
    • Knowledge of safety, infection control and quality assurance protocols.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff.
    • Ability to project a pleasant and professional image even under stressful situations.
    • Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Proficient computer skills.
