Summary

* This position is responsible for all aspects of the patient accounting system processes, database management, contractual billings, interface reconciliations and proper storage of records.
* This position works under the supervision of the Director, and is employed by Mosaic Life Care.

Duties

* Oversees the patient accounting system by processing transactions, performing daily and monthly balancing revenues, cash payments and write-offs and accounts receivable roll-forward procedures, auditing and correcting selected accounts or special bundled prices or observation services and identifying and correcting processing failures.
* Prepares journal entries for posting to the general ledger from contracts and other arrangements, prepares monthly billings to third parties for provision of services, records the receipt of payments for those services and monitors the status of each receivable account.
* Maintains organized and efficient record storage of all patient-related reports, cash records, database maintenance and general ledger information in accordance with state and federal guidelines for record retention. Bears the responsibility for movement of all records to off-line storage.
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
* 2 years of Bookkeeping experience or similar accounting experience. Within twelve months should adequately perform all duties.
