Midland Care is looking for a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at our 14-bed Residential Center, working one 12-hour night shift per week from 7 pm to 7 am.

Summary:

As a Certified Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering medications to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being in a residential care setting. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work well under pressure will be essential for success in this role.

Employment Status: Part-time | 1/12-hour shift 7pm-7am

Pay Rate starting at $16.80+/hr +5% shift differential (pay is based off qualifications and like experience)

Duties & Responsibilities

* Establishes therapeutic relationships with clients and families from a variety of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
* Uses effective communication skills to act as a companion and provide emotional support to clients and families.
* Uses interpersonal skills that promote interdisciplinary collaboration and communication.
* Provides emotional support to clients and families in a manner that fosters independence and affirms existing strengths.
* Participates in the orientation of new members of the team and students.
* Maintains flexibility in schedule and responds to unexpected patient care needs and changes in workload and location of work as directed.

Qualifications

Required: Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification. Must possess a valid Kansas Drivers License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organizations insurability standard as defined by Midland policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.

Preferred: One year experience as CMA preferred, demonstrable knowledge in medication administration.
