Waymore's new rooftop bar, Tall Tales, is looking for a dedicated and hard-working Barback to join our team. This person should be a self-starter who is always on their toes and ready to jump in wherever needed for the success of the team. This position reports to the Beverage Manager and is a non-exempt position.

The Property

Waymore's Guest House is a boutique hotel located in East Nashville, Tennessee with 93 guest rooms, suites and bunkrooms. We call it our guest house, because it was designed with comfort in mind above all else - in addition to the essentials, our spacious rooms are pet-friendly with sustainable bath amenities, locally-sourced art, thoughtfully-curated mini-bars and floor-to-ceiling windows. Waymore's is a new kind of Nashville hangout - A hotel that nods to the musicians behind the musicians and embraces the vibes of East Nashville…A Place for Long Hangs, Tall Tales & No Hard Feelings.

What You Will Be Doing

* Maintain stock and cleanliness of bar stations .
* Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
* Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
* Maintains high knowledge regarding company's products and happenings events.
* Effectively communicates with c-workers and guest alike
* Documents inventory use, spills, and waste accordingly Stocks refrigerating units with wines, beer, etc.
* Monitors coolers for proper temperature. Reports deficiencies to management in a timely manner
* Maintains adequate supply of ice to all bars.
* Empties trash cans at the bars on a regular basis & ensures all trash cans at the bars are cleaned and lined with garbage bags.
* Cleans and stocks the supply room where all bar products are stored.
* Notifies manager/supervisor of low inventory and recommends new inventory. Assists bartenders with cleaning and breakdown of the bars at the end of each shift.
* Completes all opening, running, and closing duties as assigned
* Assists with plating and service of bar food & prep area
* Preps & organizes bar prep as instructed
* Maintains a clean and organized prep area

* Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, but not required.
* Ability to work at a fast pace and ability to complete routine duties efficiently and on a consistent basis.
* Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.
* Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 150 lbs.
