Appliance Repair Technician

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you'll visit our clients' homes to repair appliances such as washers, dryers, ovens, stoves, dishwashers, microwaves and refrigerators. You'll provide a seamless customer experience by giving advice on products and services. This will include performing complex work, evaluating the severity of device issues and de-escalating difficult client interactions as needed.

What you'll do

* Fulfill appointments, both individually and as the leader of a two-person crew


* Diagnose issues and make necessary repairs


* Explain to clients how to use their appliances properly


* Manage an accurate record of all parts used to repair, replace or maintain appliances


* Provide feedback and training opportunities to your team



Basic qualifications

* Must be at least 21 years old


* Current, valid driver's license


* Have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards (e.g., minimal number of violations/accidents, etc.)


* Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hire


* Able to lift 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and up to 150 pounds with help


* 1 year of experience as an appliance repair technician or similar role



Preferred qualifications

* Customer service experience, including resolution of complex issues
