Do you want to get paid to have fun? If so, ChildServe Respite has a job for you As a Direct Support Professional - Respite Service Assistant you will provide personal care and supervision for children with special health care needs in a group setting. Services are provided at our Johnston Respite Center. Schedule:

Friday and Saturday 11pm- 7 am This is an overnight awake position.​ What You'll Do

+ Have fun with kids while their regular caregivers get a break.

+ Be creative while engaging children in activities.

+ Provide care for up to 3 children at a time in a group setting.

+ Receive ongoing training and supervision.

+ Great resume builder for those interested in social work, education, therapy, psychology, and nursing.

What You'll Need

+ Must be at least 18 years old to apply.

+ Ability to electronically document services provided.

+ Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

+ Will be required to become certified for medication administration and g-tube feedings as well as other specialized training as identified.

+ This position will be subject to COVID-19 safety requirements. Specific requirements will be discussed during the interview process.

+ Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently lift, bend, reach, and stand.
