We are looking for a part-time special teacher for our four-room schoolhouse. Do you enjoy working one-on-one and with groups of students? Being familiar with every student in the school? Using nature to teach students? If so, Glenn School is the place for you. We are a small K-5 school district focused on Nature Based Learning with our small class sizes.

Responsibilities

* Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
* Communicate with staff and families regarding student growth and struggle
* Schedule and participate in IEP meetings
* Create quarterly progress reports
* Encourage family participate in student's education
* Work with off-site Special Education Director and support members
* Utilize on-line program to create and update IEPs and coordinate with off-site support

Qualifications and Skills

* Special Education Teaching Certification
* Knowledge of multiple disabilities including, but not limited to, autism spectrum, emotional impairment, ADHD, ODD, learning disabilities, and developmental delays
* Be positive and compassionate to students and staff
* Ability to evaluate students efficiently and objectively
