Rheumatology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

General Summary/Responsibilities:
Full-Time / 80 hours pay per period
Shift: 08:00 - 16:30
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist provides pharmaceutical care services by direct interaction with patients and providers. The pharmacist will spend a majority of his/her time in patient related activities. These activities require a great degree of skill in patient monitoring, drug therapy review and assessing patient outcomes. The pharmacist performs a full range of professional practices in the Medication Therapy Management Clinic and the MVH Infusion Centers within their Scope of Practice and serves as a resource to other ambulatory practice clinics and Premier Specialty Pharmacy staff.
Qualifications
Education
* Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree
Additional requirements:
* Type of degree: Pharmacy
* Area of study or major: Pharmacy
* Preferred educational qualifications: PharmD and Pharmacy Residency preferred
* Position specific testing requirement: N/A
Licensure/Certification/Registration
* Ohio pharmacist licensure in good standing or eligible for licensure with the State of Ohio.
* Board Certified in practice area or Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) or Board-Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACPS).
Experience
Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
Prior job title or occupational experience: Hospital, Ambulatory Care, or Specialty Pharmacy Pharmacist
Prior specific functional responsibilities: N/A
Preferred experience: Residency trained and/or board certified or specialty pharmacy experience
Other experience requirements: N/A
Knowledge/Skills
* Proficiency with computer systems and PC applications is required.
* The ability to assimilate and effectively utilize a broad range of pharmaceutical and medical data, procedures, and terminology is required.
* The ability to organize and supervise pharmacy operations and associated personnel is a necessity with minimal direction.
* The incumbent must demonstrate evidence of skill in pharmacy operations.
* The ability to act as a liaison between professional and nonprofessional personnel is required.
