# JOB SUMMARY The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team, responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care.# In this role, the RN will be responsible for working alongside an interdisciplinary team to provide day-to-day care of children and adolescents, ages 6-18, in an inpatient Adolescent behavioral unit.# The primary diagnosis# that are treated are major depression and ADD/ADHD.# He/She will be responsible for medication administration and education, daily documentation of patient care, and managing/monitoring behaviors throughout the unit.# Additionally, the RN will participate in and lead education groups. JOB SUMMARY

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

* Associates Degree in Nursing required
* Valid State of Maine RN license required
* BLS certification required

EXPERIENCE

* 1-3 years previous nursing experience working with children and adolescents preferred
* At least 1-year previous nursing experience required

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED

* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
