Job Overview
As a Sr. Field Service Technician, you will provide on-site support by maintaining and repairing all Komatsu equipment using both Mechanical and Welding applications in a field environment.
We are offering a sign on bonus up to $10,000 for this position
Key Job Responsibilities
* Provide maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy construction equipment in the field.
* Complete all work in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
* Document machine information and repairs in the work order system.
* Maintain a clean work area and professional care of all machines, equipment, and tools.
* Identify and communicate additional repair and maintenance opportunities to management to increase customer uptime.
* Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold by the dealership.
* Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
* Follow all safety policies and procedures while performing work assignments.
* Conduct self in the presence of customers, suppliers, and the community in a professional manner.
* Participate in department and company meetings and provide input on continuous improvement opportunities to drive internal and external customer satisfaction.
* Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer support.
* Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Qualifications/Requirements
* High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
* Technical School/Technical College or related work experience.
* Proficiency in mechanical & electrical systems (engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, emissions components).
* Good computer skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Maintain a sufficient tool inventory to perform assigned tasks.
