Reports to Job Title: Building Maintenance Supervisor

Fair Labor Standards Act Status (FLSA): Exempt Non-Exempt X Hourly

Summary of the Position:

The building & grounds maintenance technician ensures building, grounds and equipment are maintained and repaired in a cost efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Prepares work, maintenance and staffing schedules and ensures services are performed to meet facility needs. (60%)
* Makes recommendations to improve efficiencies, reduce down time, and labor and over time expenses. (20%)
* Ensures compliance with OSHA and safety regulations. (10%)
* Responsible for construction of building projects including warehousing, racking, and conveyors. (10%)
* Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
* Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
* Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
* Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
* Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Five plus years of experience in maintenance and construction preferred.
* General knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
* Basic computer skills
* Strong mechanical skills.
