How you will contribute to LifeNet Health's success:

The Director of Hospital Development will plan, direct, and manage programs and resources allotted to promote and increase the number of donors within the LifeNet Health Donation Service Area (DSA). Develops programs and guides staff to act as a resource for hospitals and the community in organ and tissue donation. Represents LifeNet Health and the OPO (Organ Procurement Organization) as an ambassador of organ and tissue donation.

What you'll do:

* Hospital Development: Partners and builds relationships with hospital leadership to further organ, eye and tissue donation programs in hospitals across the DSA. Drives the strategy to support growth by maximizing hospital relationships. Oversees the implementation of effective and measurable donor hospital programs to ensure optimal processes are in place to increase and maximize organ and tissue donation where applicable and in conjunction with industry standards and federal/state laws. Evaluates effectiveness of Hospital Development initiatives and makes recommendations for current and future projects that will enhance donation processes throughout the DSA.
* Strategic Planning: Evaluates and measures effectiveness of Hospital Development initiatives and makes recommendations for current and future projects that will enhance donation processes throughout the DSA.
* People Leadership: Provides oversight to assigned team by supervising, guiding, and directing employees to be effective team members. Ensures that everyone is equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary for executing their duties. Using the established people processes (performance, development, succession, and career) to ensure that their team's level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards.
* Operations/Continuous Process Improvement: Directs the daily operations of the departments, and effectively performs key management functions, including departmental planning, staffing, staff development and deployment of resources. Assists hospitals in process improvement through continuous development and refinement of policies and procedures that maximize organ and tissue donation where applicable and in conjunction with industry standards and federal/state laws.
* Hospital Education: Manages development of education program and materials. Oversees ongoing education and training to support continued growth of hospital administration.

What you'll bring (Minimum Requirements):

* Bachelor's Degree - Business, Marketing, Education, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration
* Valid State Driver's License
* FIVE (5) years organ procurement organization (OPO) industry experience at a senior management level
* FIVE (5) years management experience with direct reports

Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:

* Master's Degree - Business, Marketing, Education, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration

* Decision Making: Makes appropriate decisions regarding the educational needs for each hospital to ensure compliance in the referral of all deaths and imminent deaths in a timely manner, decisions are made frequently as strategy and initiatives of each hospital change (e.g., specific education efforts and follow-up).
* Relationship Management: Able to build and sustain partnerships within company (across departments/functions) as well as outside the organization to achieve common goals and outcomes (i.e., internal, and external relationships with staff, hospital and community leaders).
* People Development: Actively engages in talent management practices (selection, promotion, development, and engagement) to cultivate a workforce that is well aligned with current and emerging talent needs.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidate's qualifications and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is $113,094/annually (entry-level qualifications) - $150,792/annually (experienced in this role).
