Responsibilities

* Committing to an 8 or 12 consecutive week assignment
* Scheduled for a minimum of 40 hours per week or 80 hours per pay period, subject to working weekends during the commitment period (where applicable)
* Complying with on-call requirements and shifts (where applicable)
* Complete hospital/CST/computer orientation and credentialing with minimal unit orientation as needed
* Required to work holidays during their agreement period
* Expected to work all scheduled shifts as assigned unless cancelled by the Staffing Office, department manager, and/or House Supervisor
* Expected to participate in all mandatory education
* Evaluated by and held accountable for performance based on the standard hospital job descriptions for their respective position

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

* Current CST certification from NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting)
* Minimum of 1 year experience (within the last 2 years) as a CST in a hospital setting in the selected area
* Current BLS and all other required certifications per guidelines

Preferred Job Requirements:

* Associate's degree
* Three (3) years previous surgical experience
