Pediatric Surgeon

Admit, evaluate, diagnose, perform H & Ps, consult and provide surgical (including pre- and postoperative) care to premature and newborn infants, children, and adolescents, to correct various conditions, disorders and injuries. Access, stabilize and determine disposition of patients with emergency conditions.
Required Skills

* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to remain flexible and positive in stressful situations.
* Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precaution.
* Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
Required Experience
Work Experience:
* Minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training.
License/Registration/Certification
* Current Board Certification in the specialty of planned clinical activity.
* Current license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
* Current specialty specific cardiopulmonary resuscitation by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross;
* Successful completion of Advanced Trauma Life Support within one year of hire, and maintenance thereof.
C. Education and Training
* Completion of a four-year M.D. degree program and medical residency.
* Completion of a ACGME approved (or equivalent) post-graduate training in General Surgery followed by successful completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Surgery.
