Physicians' Clinic of Iowa's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehab may be the place for you We are seeking a full time CMA to work in our specialty practice. This position is eligible for a signing bonus

Duties include but not limited to:
  • Working along with providers in a clinic setting
  • Prepare patients for physician visits and procedures
  • Patient education on upcoming procedures, medications, etc. per provider's protocol
  • Prepare patient pre-procedure
  • Monitor patients post procedure until discharge
  • Enter patient orders for testing, and follow up on test results
  • Send referrals for prior authorizations for treatment and diagnostic testing
  • Triage patient calls for providers and answer patient questions
  • General clerical duties

The successful candidate must maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times. The qualified individual will be patient focused, possess excellent communication skills and must work well with team members. Must also have a high level of comfort in working with and become proficient in computer systems.

Must have current certification; current CPR certification required, or ability to obtain within 90 days.

PCI is EOE. Pre-employment drug screen and background check required. PCI is a tobacco and drug free workplace.
