Position Summary:

Sodexo is looking for multiple students to serve as Coffee Baristas for the Library Cafe. Employees will assist with the opening, running and closing of the Cafe. This includes, coffee brewing, setting up pastries and smoothie station. The individuals are responsible to process and complete the production of coffee brewing, fulfilling orders including the production of espresso drinks, and smoothies. Ensuring a clean, fully stocked, and safe environment for customers, and assisting with putting Cafe orders away while ensuring a smooth transition to the closing operations. Closing Coffee Barista supports order completion, cleaning, restocking and preparing for the next service through the cleaning process. Barista are required to process all transactions, process online/mobile orders, ensuring that all cash transactions are correct and confined in running the Cafe register systems and credit card transactions.

Experience and Qualifications:

Strong customer service, team work skills and willingness to learn is a must in this fast paced environment. Experience with food service, coffee shop or barista experience is a plus but not required. Cashiering or money handling experience is beneficial, but not required. Must be able to life 25 lbs and the ability to stand/walk for 2-3 hours at a time. Applicants must be able to work the hours of the Library Cafe, including opening (7:00am) and closing (3:30 pm) shifts.

Specifically Looking for:

Monday- Friday: Opening and Closing shifts based on business needs.
