The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company's operational needs are met, considering price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and a strategic mindset.Responsibilities:1. Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.2. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.3. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.4. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.5. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.6. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.7. Assess, manage, and mitigate risks.8. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.9. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.10. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.11. Maintain and update list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.12. Work with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed.Qualifications:1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.2. Proven 5+ years of experience as a buyer or relevant role.3. Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.4. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).5. Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.6. Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.8. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.9. Accurate and precise attention to detail.10. Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.11. Goal-oriented, organized team player.12. Experience in collecting and analyzing data.13. Strong leadership capabilities.14. Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems.15. Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.16. Interest in market dynamics along with a business sense.17. A knack for negotiation and networking.18. Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.19. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.20. Solid judgment along with decision-making skills.21. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.22. Knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.23. Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.24. Experience in using financial software and managing budgets.25.
