Key responsibilities:
Define and maintain application test automation architectural blueprints, technically aligning them with business objectives.
Offer technical and functional mentorship to the team, covering test strategy, planning, and automation perspectives.
Lead and prioritize testing tasks, defects, and user stories using Jira/Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with development teams to define and implement API tests based on industry standards.
Participate in sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives to ensure alignment and process improvements.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
8-12 years of experience in test automation with at least 2+ years in life sciences (including medical device, pharma or biotech) or healthcare services..
Expertise in architecting automation framework and test scripts using C# and Selenium WebDriver.
Proficiency with RestSharp and Postman to craft and execute automated API tests, validating the functionality and performance of RESTful APIs integrated into the medical device system.
Write, review, and maintain automation scripts and Integrate automation into CI/CD pipeline using Azure
Develop custom test automation libraries and utilities in Python to extend the capabilities of existing automation frameworks and address specific testing requirements of medical device software
Conduct exploratory testing sessions to uncover edge cases and potential areas of risk not covered by automated tests, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and product quality.
Familiarity with Gherkin syntax for implementing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
Collaborate with development teams to define and implement API tests based on industry standards such as OpenAPI (Swagger) to ensure consistency and compatibility across different software components
Identify and address performance bottlenecks. Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues and Provide guidance and training to team members.
