The Director of Quality and Compliance RN will maintain a high level of compliance and quality assurance, ensuring regulatory, customer, and owner confidence in services and risk management. This role assesses and promotes adherence to state and federal regulations, ensuring the quality of resident care and services.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, maintain high standards of resident care and services, and manage the compliance mailbox to support survey review, readiness, and plans of correction.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality improvement programs to enhance resident care and services.
Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Lead root cause analysis and develop action plans to address identified issues.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Regulatory compliance and Coordination with State Agencies: Communicate and follow up with state agencies as needed to support compliance. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing assisted living facilities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including those from regulatory bodies such as CMS, state health departments, and accrediting organizations. Prepare for and manage regulatory inspections and surveys, including coordinating responses to findings and ensuring timely correction of deficiencies.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements:

In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations governing assisted living facilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with staff, residents, families, and regulatory bodies.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and use data to drive improvements.
Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
Thorough knowledge of clinical risk management practices and survey compliance in senior living.

Education & Experience:

RN license required.
Experience in quality management and compliance.
Minimum seven years nursing experience in positions of increasing responsibility.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management and regulatory compliance in a healthcare or assisted living setting.
QA experience preferred
