Role Description The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at The Anchored Path is a full-time or part-time, in-person role. The RBT will implement services with the home or a community setting, such as a school or daycare. The RBT implements individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction for clients.
Day-to-day tasks include providing direct 1:1 therapy, collecting accurate data on client behaviors and goals, and assisting with behavior assessments as directed. The RBT collaborates with clinical supervisors and caregivers, participates in team meetings, and follows established protocols to ensure consistency and quality of care. The role also involves maintaining professional documentation, adhering to ethical and regulatory standards, and actively engaging in ongoing training and performance feedback.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or eligibility to obtain RBT credential within a specified timeframe.
- Experience working with children or adolescents with developmental or behavioral needs, preferably in ABA or related settings.
- Strong observational, data collection, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and consistency.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and clinical direction, manage challenging behaviors safely, and maintain professionalism in high-stress situations.
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, behavior analysis, or related field is preferred.
- Willingness to complete ongoing training, adhere to BACB ethical guidelines, and meet state and organizational compliance requirements. xhuatnn
- Ability to work on-site in Huntersville, NC, with reliable transportation and flexibility for scheduled sessions.
