About Us:

ICGH Treatment Centers is a leader in providing
comprehensive, evidence-based mental health and substance use disorder
treatment services. We are expanding our services to Carteret County and are
looking for a passionate and dedicated School-Based Counselor to join our team.
At ICGH, we believe in creating a supportive environment for students to thrive
academically and personally by addressing their mental health and behavioral
needs directly within the school setting.

Position Overview:

As a School-Based Counselor, you will work directly within
the Carteret County school district to provide high-quality mental health
services to students. Your role will involve individual and group counseling,
crisis intervention, and collaboration with school staff and parents to create
a supportive learning environment. You will be an integral part of our mission
to ensure that students have the emotional and behavioral support they need to
succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individual and group counseling to students
* experiencing mental health and behavioral issues.
* Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop
* appropriate treatment plans.
* Collaborate with school staff, including teachers and
* administrators, to support student well-being.
* Offer crisis intervention services as needed.
* Maintain accurate and confidential records of all
* counseling sessions.

Provide referrals to external services and resources when
necessary.
* Participate in school meetings and contribute to
* developing strategies for student success.
* Educate and support parents and guardians on managing and
* understanding their child’s mental health needs.

Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or
* a related field.
* Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC),
* Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent in the state of North
* Carolina.

Experience working with children and adolescents in a
school or similar setting.

Strong understanding of developmental, emotional, and
behavioral issues affecting school-aged children.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical
* practice.
