In this role you will strengthen the security of eBay’s ecommerce platform by building and deploying protections against vulnerabilities and account takeovers. You will work within the security-focused team to design scalable solutions, monitor threats, and respond to incidents in high-risk transactions. You’ll apply AI methods to optimize security tasks and collaborate across teams to embed best practices. This is a hands-on role with measurable impact on trust, safety, and platform resilience across global markets.

Responsibilities
- Build and implement security measures to mitigate vulnerabilities and malicious activity
- Design, develop and deploy SBOM solutions to identify vulnerable libraries
- Reduce attack surfaces via ongoing patching and upgrades of product security solutions
- Develop filters and detection systems for phishing, malware, and text with malicious intent
- Create and support tools for rapid analysis of product security risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce security best practices
- Monitor threats and respond to security incidents in high-risk ecommerce transactions
- Leverage AI methods to optimize security solutions in assigned tasks
Key requirements
- Java-based server-side development (3 years)
- Node. xhuatnn js frontend development with security controls (2 years)
- Developing scalable APIs (REST and GraphQL) (2 years)
- CI/CD security with static and dynamic scanners (1 year)
- Centralized open-source libraries with Artifactory (1 year)
- Patching and maintenance of open-source libraries (2 years)
- Kubernetes and Docker deployment (1 year)
- Kibana and ElasticSearch runtime dashboards (2 years)
