Senior EstimatorLocation: Nashville, TN, United States | Nashville OfficeSummaryA highly regarded national construction and development firm is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead complex estimating efforts. This position requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Senior Estimator will oversee the preparation and coordination of detailed cost estimates for large-scale and technically challenging projects.Check you match the skill requirements for this role, as well as associated experience, then apply with your CV below.ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Project EstimatingLead estimating efforts on large, complex, and self-performed projectsPrepare conceptual and detailed cost models, including self-perform work estimatesStrategically plan for estimate preparation, pricing, scheduling, and bid submissionIdentify and select qualified subcontractors and suppliers for participation in the bidding processAssign and review work completed by estimating team members to ensure accuracy and completenessConduct quantity takeoffs, cost analyses, and subcontractor proposal evaluationsPrepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) during the estimating phaseMaintain communication with team members, owners, architects, and engineers throughout the processEnsure all stakeholders understand scope, assumptions, and updatesResearch applicable tax codes, union agreements, and permitting requirements that impact project costsAnalyze historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy and benchmarkingAssist in selecting project systems, materials, and estimating softwareParticipate in project scheduling and preconstruction planningMentor, train, and evaluate junior estimators and support staffQualificationsAssociate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum of nine (9) years of construction experience, including at least six (6) years in estimating rolesLEED AP or DBIA certification preferredProven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneouslyStrong knowledge of construction practices, building systems, and general business principlesExcellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skillsHigh degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detailStrong analytical and mathematical aptitudeProficiency with estimating software and tools such as ISqFt, ICE/Bid2Win, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam, and Google EarthCurrent driver’s license
