- Perform CT scans on patients using specialized equipment and techniques

- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions

- Position patients correctly and ensure their comfort and safety during the scan

- Operate CT scanner to obtain high-quality images of the designated body part

- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any adverse reactions or complications

- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze scan results

- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed

- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

*Skills*

- Proficient in performing CT scans with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation

- Familiarity with aseptic technique to ensure infection control during procedures

- Experience in using CT scanners and related equipment, including PET scans and sonography

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, particularly in emergency room settings

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals

- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues during scans

- Knowledge of mammography procedures is a plus

-Minimum one year experience as a radiologic technologist working in CT

*Equipment Used: CT Phillips 64 and Hitachi 128*

*Required education: Associates in Radiologic Science*

*Certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography A.R.R.T. (R) (CT)*

*M.R.T. Texas Dept. of Health*
