Homelike, family owned skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility is searching for an experienced Director of Nursing.

The purpose of the Director of Nursing is to provide nursing supervision and management to the direct care staff; maintain resident standards of care; and to develop/implement nursing policies and procedures. The Director of Nursing’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following—
* The DON must be knowledgeable of Federal and State nursing regulations and maintain compliance to these in the nursing department.
* The DON is responsible for the supervision and professional development of the nursing staff as well as performance evaluations and any disciplinary actions that may be necessary.
* The DON will recruit, interview, orient and assist to train all new nursing personnel.
* The DON will maintain budgetary standards in the nursing department.
* The DON must understand behavioral and cognitive strategies in order to motivate the nursing personnel to perform at their highest capabilities and be able to manage the overall facility operations in the absence of the Administrator.
* Assist in covering staffing needs
* Rotate on-call coverage for after hour nursing department issues

*Requirements:*
* Must hold a valid RN license in good standing with the state of Ohio.
* Must have 2 years previous experience in a management role.
* Strong Leadership and coaching skills
* Previous experience as a Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing in a long term care/Skilled nursing care environment preferred.
