Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and review accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to management.

General Ledger Management:

Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Reconcile complex accounts, including bank statements, intercompany transactions, and other key accounts.

Month-End/Year-End Close:

Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments prepared by junior staff.

Audit and Compliance:

Prepare and support external audits, ensuring all documentation and reports are accurate and compliant.
Maintain compliance with GAAP, and other relevant regulations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.

Process Improvement:

Evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
Minimum of 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience
Knowledge of sales tax regulations is "extra credit"
Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools is an advantage.
