Accounts Payable Specialist - Hybrid in Baltimore, MD Are you ready to apply Make sure you understand all the responsibilities and tasks associated with this role before proceeding.About the Company and Overview of the Accounts Payable Specialist role: CFS is partnering with a repeat client to find an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing, medium sized accounting team on a contractual basis. This role is anticipated to last 2+ months to support the company's software conversion. Potential for long term depending on performance and fit Position is hybrid and based in Baltimore city (21230). 2-3 days in office, M-F, 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week (can be flexible if needed) Free parking provided for all employees Reports directly to the Accounting Manager (who was placed by CFS) Salary: $50,000-$59,000 depending on experience Job Duties of the Accounts Payable Specialist: Code and review accounts payable entries, verifying the accuracy of voucher #s, vendor codes, amount and file number Reconciliation and adjustment of payable amounts to invoice amounts when necessary Reconciliation of domestic vendor statements to accounts payable records and solving discrepancies Responsible for updating and maintaining AP tracking logs and other essential schedules Assist with processing weekly check runs and ACH debit batches for domestic payables Assist with managing and resolving all incoming vendor correspondences via phone and email Filing of payables and miscellaneous data entry Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist: 3+ years' high volume AP experience required Strong matching experience and able to handle high volume Experience xhuatnn with foreign currency conversions a plus Experience working at a company during a major software transition a plus, but not required Experience in logistics or trucking industries beneficial, but not required Proficient Excel skills (basic formulas, formatting, data manipulation) Must be good listener and deductive learner Strong customer service and communication skills, able to interact with individuals at all levels of an organization, internal and external Able to pass a criminal background check and credit check
