You will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers and other Data Scientists on key initiatives for Security, Reliability and Quality. Responsibilities Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements. Engage with product and business groups to drive AI projects throughout the lifecycle, from idea creation to technology transfer, experimentation and worldwide availability. Build and apply models using large?scale computing frameworks and data analysis systems; verify effects through iterative experimentation. Perform rigorous experiments and evaluations to assess quality and impact, improving solutions based on data and customer feedback. Communicate technical findings and insights effectively. Collaborate cross?functionally with researchers, applied scientists, engineers, product managers and designers to build AI quality tools for production systems. Leverage data from diverse sources to design innovative solutions meeting rigorous metrics and customer needs. Ensure compliance with Microsoft Responsible AI standards throughout the AI system lifecycle. Stay abreast of the latest ML, information retrieval and recommendation system advances, contributing to intellectual property via patents and publications. Required Qualifications Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field AND 1+ year(s) data?science experience. OR Masters Degree in the same fields AND 3+ years data?science experience. OR Bachelors Degree in the same fields AND 5+ years data?science experience (equivalent experience acceptable). At least 6+ months of experience implementing solutions with LLMs and Generative AI. Mandatory Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications Experience publishing peer?reviewed research (patents, academic papers). Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering and 57+ years related experience. Experience in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, langchain or other ML frameworks. Experience delivering AI product features. Strong business intelligence, data analysis and reporting skills. Data Science IC4 Base pay range: USD?119,800??234,700 per year (US). Specific location ranges vary (e.g., San?Francisco?Bay?area: USD?158,400??258,000).
