Every project is unique, and we take pride in the details that make each home one of a kind.*What You’ll Do*We’re looking for a skilled *Lead Carpenter* to join our crew. This isn’t just about swinging a hammer — it’s about leading a team, solving problems on the fly, and creating spaces that our clients will love for a lifetime. You’ll be hands-on every day, from framing to finishing, while also guiding others and keeping jobs on track.*Your Day-to-Day** Lead and work alongside a team of carpenters on custom home projects.* Take on all kinds of carpentry work — framing, trim, cabinetry, and custom details.* Read and follow architectural drawings to make sure everything lines up.* Keep the job site *safe*, organized, and efficient.* Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and sometimes clients.* Teach and mentor less experienced carpenters — share your knowledge and skills.* Make sure the finished product meets the high standards our company is known for.*What We’re Looking For** 5+ years of residential carpentry experience, with at least 2 years leading a crew.* Experience with custom or high-end homes is a big plus.* Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods.* Can read blueprints and technical documents with ease.* Solid communication and leadership skills.* A real eye for detail and a love of craftsmanship.* A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.*What You’ll Get** Competitive pay based on your experience.* The chance to work on some of the most unique and beautiful homes in the area.* A supportive team that values quality and integrity. xhuatnn * Opportunities to grow your career with a company that’s been around for decades.If you’re a skilled carpenter who takes pride in your work and wants to build something extraordinary, we’d love to hear from you.Job Type: Full-timeBase Pay: From $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Health savings account* Paid time off* Profit sharingPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyExperience:* Carpentry: 5 years (Required)Ability to Commute:* Traverse City, MI 49684 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Traverse City, MI 49684: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
