Payroll Specialist

We’re looking for a skilled Accounting & Payroll Specialist to join a well-established industrial services company in College Station, Texas. In this role, you’ll manage full-cycle payroll processing while supporting both accounts payable and receivable functions. It’s a hands-on position that offers exposure to a wide range of accounting activities across multiple departments and job sites.All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.Responsibilities:Process weekly payroll accurately and on time for multiple teams and locations.Review time entries, verify job and cost codes, and address any discrepancies.Maintain complete and compliant payroll records, including deductions and adjustments.Handle certified payroll reporting and assist with annual filings such as W-2s.Process vendor invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.Prepare and send customer invoices while monitoring collections and aging reports.Contribute to month-end close processes and provide support during audits.Qualifications:Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3–5 years of experience handling both payroll and accounting responsibilities.Experience in construction, field services, or a similar industry is a plus.Working knowledge of job costing and general accounting principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with payroll systems such as Paycom (or similar).Exceptional accuracy, confidentiality, and time management skills.Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of detail.
