*We are looking for an experienced CVT to join our Primary Care Team:*

This is currently a Monday through Thursday position working in our Primary Care Department, where we see a variety of patients including sick animals, well animals and vaccine clinic animals.

*Candidate Qualifications:*
* Must be certified veterinary technician in the state of Wisconsin

Must be comfortable with
* Blood draws
* Catheter placement
* Calculating doses for medication
* Taking well positioned x-rays
* and other tasks with the scope of your license.

* Critical to be able to handle a high paced environment with a heavy work load and be able successfully multi-tasks
* Possess a high level of interest in customer service.

*Responsibilities*:
* Oversee the daily schedule of the comprehensive appointments
* Maintain knowledge of preventative healthcare recommendations to answer client questions
* Receive, handle, and treat patients with skill, compassion, accuracy, and care
* Ensure all patients go home well-groomed and in an appropriate medical state
* Assist in examinations of animals to assess general physical condition and detect/determine the nature of diseases or injuries
* Provide treatment to sick or injured animals at the direction of the veterinarian
* Administer, fill, and dispense medications as directed and instruct caregivers in the administration of medications
* Accurately calculate and record all medications and injections administered
* Collect body tissue, feces, blood, urine, or other body fluids for examination and analysis
* Ability to draw blood using multiple sights, including jugular, cephalic, and saphenous veins
* Vaccinate animals against various diseases
* Cultivate positive relationships with clients and their animals through compassionate communication and empathy concerning the conditions of their pets and euthanasia decisions for their pets
