VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency Department. VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic, located Northeast of Sacramento, offers general practice, emergency, and specialty services. We strive to provide a compassionate experience for our clients and a space where our associates feel valued and supported. We are a large, collaborative, goofy group that strives to provide safety and support for our associates. We have a supportive and fun team of board-certified specialists in internal medicine, surgery, critical care, anesthesia, cardiology, and radiology, as well as a large team of Emergency and general practice veterinarians who recognize the value of their support team.

Our hospital campus is on nine beautiful acres in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains, set amongst oak trees, a creek, and a pond and shared with wildlife. We have a relaxing atmosphere on our back patio where you can enjoy your breaks, decompress, and play cornhole, frisbee, fly a kite, or just relax.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate nursing care for all patients
Completing treatments for outpatient or hospitalized patients
Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
Assisting veterinarians with surgical procedures and monitoring anesthesia
Triaging and stabilizing incoming emergency patients
Participate in client communication and education, explaining the administration of medications, follow-up care, diet recommendations, and general animal care

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $28.00 per hour.
