This position plays a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our projects, providing accurate and timely financial information to ensure projects are completed within budget. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Accountant to contribute to our company's financial growth and stability.Responsibilities:As a Permanent Project Accountant, your responsibilities will include:1. Managing all financial aspects of assigned projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.2. Utilizing your knowledge of Project Accounting, T&M (Time & Material), and job costing to ensure accurate financial management of projects.3. Processing AIA billing and AIA invoicing for project-related costs.4. Using Sage and Vista Viewpoint software to manage project financials.5. Collaborating with project managers to develop project budgets, monitor project costs, and identify potential financial risks.6. Preparing and presenting financial reports to management, highlighting project performance and identifying areas for improvement.7. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.8. Assisting in the development and implementation of financial management strategies for projects.9. Conducting financial audits of projects to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the Permanent Project Accountant position will have:1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Accounting, preferably in the Accounting + Finance industry.3. Proficiency in T&M (Time & Material), job costing, AIA billing, and AIA invoicing.4. Experience with Sage and Vista Viewpoint software.5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.8. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential financial risks.9. A high level of integrity and reliability, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information in a confidential manner.10. A professional accounting certification (such as CPA, CMA, CGA, or CFA) would be considered an asset.
