Position: Payroll SpecialistThe experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.Location: Onsite in Taylor, MI Salary Range: 80,000-90,000Our client is a growing North American infrastructure company in Taylor, MI and they are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage multi-state payroll and compliance for U.S. operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of Certified Payroll and Prevailing Wage regulations. Key Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist: Process accurate weekly payroll for 60+ employees across multiple states. Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports. Ensure compliance with payroll laws and maintain organized records. Support audits, manage 401(k) and vacation tracking. Collaborate with HR and Finance on onboarding and administrative tasks. Qualifications for Payroll Specialist: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation required. 3+ years of payroll experience (construction or public sector preferred). Proficiency with payroll systems (ADP, Ceridian, Workday) and advanced Excel. Strong attention to detail, compliance knowledge, and communication skills. Why Join?
