See additional details below. Pharmacist Highlights The pay for this position is $64.00 per hour, On call - $75 per diem + $75 per dispensing call . Schedule: As-needed basis Weekends: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (2–4 weekend shifts per month) Weekdays: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (2–3 on-call evenings per week) On Call: 6:00 PM – 10:00 AM (after hours when pharmacy is closed) Onsite position This position is Contract-to-Hire . Responsibilities Accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications in compliance with state and federal laws. Monitor patient medication compliance and identify patterns of overuse. Ensure all dispensed medications are appropriate, safe, and legally compliant. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files. Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, interactions, storage, and proper device use. Answer patient questions and provide education on prescription and non-prescription medications. Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol education. Educate patients on proper use of medical devices (blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, etc.). Prepare non-sterile and sterile compounded medications, following all safety protocols. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. Identify drug-related problems and communicate recommendations to prescribers. Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks. Uphold all pharmacy regulations, guidelines, and best practices. Requirements Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree – Required Active and unrestricted Wisconsin Pharmacist License – Required Experience with on-call/evening/overnight shifts – Preferred Non-sterile compounding experience – Preferred Strong clinical knowledge, communication skills, and ability to work independently. Must be comfortable providing on-call coverage and working weekends as needed.
