At SJCA, we value you as an individual, support your professional growth and development, and want you to succeed.The Bridge Inspection Engineer position offers excellent growth opportunities to become a project manager, handling multiple projects and clients.Job duties include the following:Perform bridge, small structure, and other types of inspections and complete any associated reports and load ratings.Perform hand and software-supported bridge analysis and design computations.Visit project sites locally and throughout Indiana and other Midwest locations to perform bridge and small structure inspections, verify existing conditions during design, provide construction support engineering, and meet with clientsCoordinate with other disciplines within the transportation department, including but not limited to survey, roadway, utility coordination, drainage, planning, and environmental.Minimum Requirements for this PositionBachelor of Science (BS) degreeEngineer-In-Training (EIT)Capable of meeting with clients in personStrong technical writing and verbal communication skillsHighly organized and detail-orientedStrong time management skillsA valid driver's license is required3 or more years of experience in bridge inspectionQualified Team Leader – Bridge Inspector’s Reference Manual (FHWA NHI 12-049) Section 1.2.3Additional Preferred Skills and ExperienceCivil Professional Engineer (PE) license in any stateBridge Inspection Team Leader Certification in any state, Indiana preferred. xhuatnn Qualified candidates may expect competitive compensation, commensurate with experience, and an excellent benefits package.SJCA offers:Signing bonusesRelocation reimbursement for out-of-state candidatesA fun, casual work environment on the north side of IndyFree refreshments and snacksFlexible work hoursHybrid work scheduleA comprehensive benefit package including choice of two medical plans, dental, vision, life, short and long-term disability insurance, and a Health Savings Account optionA 401 (k) retirement savings plan with a 3% employer contributionPaid New Parent LeaveStaff outings and other fun social activitiesProfessional development opportunitiesPaid holidays and a generous amount of Paid Time Off
