The Radiologic Technologist works under direct supervision, incumbent performs routine radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment, in accordance with established guidelines and protocols. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of principles of radiation safety. Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established protocols to achieve the highest quality image.

Job Responsibilities:

Produces high quality exams in compliance with department policy, procedures and guidelines.
Demonstrates commitment to providing safe, efficient, and quality care.
Verifies physician orders and correctly to complete all paperwork. Adheres to all Prime Healthcare practices and policies.
Complies with all regulatory requirements including licensing, certification, and other mandatory training within established time frames.
Performs additional duties assigned by management.
Travels to centers on need be basis.

Radiology in surgery is one of the most demanding challenges encountered by the radiologic technologist. The technologist will be called on to preform procedures quickly and accurately in a sterile environment, with a minimum number of repeat exposures.
The surgeon expects the technologist to perform the requested procedure without error or delay.
The technologist must be able to operate and troubleshoot conventional and digital equipment. The technologist must also know reliable exposure factors for patients of different sizes and various procedures.
Ability to perform functional testing of equipment on a weekly, or otherwise required schedule.

Skills and Qualifications:

Ability to work independently with little supervision in a fast paced, trauma environment
Proficient in performing all general X-Ray, Fluoroscopy and OR procedures
Excellent customer service skills
Clear and concise communication skills
Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft based computer skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Minimum 1 Year experience as a Radiologic Technologist

Preferred Qualifications:

Satisfactory completion of formal X-Ray training program from an ARRT approved school and meets required State/Federal mandated certification or equivalent

Requirements:

Current California CRT and Fluoroscopy license
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
Department of Justice Background Check
Satisfactory Completion of Health/Drug Screening
Proof legal of US work eligibility
Valid CA Class C Driver License
