*Job Summary*

Provides relevant physical therapy and evaluation services to students with various needs and differences awith sensory, gross motor and ambulation issues related to educational performance. Collaborates with team members and families regarding strategies and techniques to ensure carryover of skills in the classroom and at home

*Job Functions*
* Delivers effective and educationally relevant treatment services;
* Possess' and demonstrates knowledge of current strategies and best practice techniques.
* Completes evaluations that accurately and effectively identify strengths and needs. Utilizes standardized and non-standardized tools that are culturally diverse and appropriate when applicable
* Communicates effectively with teachers, families and other educational team members in oral/written formats in both formal and non-formal situations.
* Completes written work in a timely manner including progress notes and annual reviews. All paperwork is legible, accurate and adheres to codes of professional ethics.
* Submits all required billing, service verification logs, and semimonthly billing in a timely manner.
* Displays competency in providing strategies that are appropriate, including measurable outcomes, as part of the student's IEP.
* Selects and adapts appropriate activities, incorporating a variety of intervention models.
* Assesses progress on an on-going basis and modifies as needed.
* Takes responsibility for seeking supervision/consultation in relationship to clinical performance.
* Attends and participates in IEP and/or pre planning meetings as requested.
* Ability to independently reason and solve problems related to self, staff or others.
* Tact, initiative and judgement in the performance of duties

* *Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: *
* Graduate level degree in accredited physical therapy program
* Licensed by the State of New Jersey
* NJ School Certification and undergo criminal history review
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing school based physical therapy.
* Participation in recent continuing education programs related to school based physical therapy.
* Experience with MS Word and Excel

Required experience:
* Experience with individuals who have neurodiverse differences
* Collaborative communication
* Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $55.00 - $72.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
