What to Expect
Salary: $130,000+ per year + production
Location: 2703 Hempstead Tpke, Levittown, NY 11756
Schedule: Open to full-time or part-time, flexible options available
Hours of operation:
Monday through Thursday: 8am-8pm
Friday: 8am -6pm
Saturday: 9am-3pm
Sunday: closed currently with plans to reopen

A 3:1 staff to doctor ratio. You will have the support—and respect—you need to be excellent for our patients. We've got your back. Our current team consists of 2 DVMs, 3 LVTs, 4 assistants, and 4 CSRs.

Levittown Animal Hospital in Levittown, NY has been providing the highest level of veterinary care for Nassau County's pets for over four decades. Our veterinarians primarily see dogs and cats from Levittown, East Meadow, Bethpage, Hicksville, Westbury, Merrick, and Bellmore, NY - but our patients come from as far as Suffolk County, New York City, New Jersey and Connecticut. For almost 60 years, Levittown Animal Hospital, located in Levittown, NY, has cared for Nassau County's cherished companions with the highest quality veterinary services. Many of our clients have brought generations of pets to our team because of the passionate care and client service at our hospital.
Levittown Animal Hospital opened its doors in 1965 and was purchased by Dr. Meyer ("Mike") Kaplan and his brother, Dr. Warran Kaplan in 1974. Meyer Kaplan grew Levittown Animal Hospital into one of the premier veterinary facilities in the New York City Metro area, with a long history of being on the cutting edge of veterinary medicine.
As one of the first veterinary surgeons on Long Island, Dr. Kaplan cared for patients referred from all over the region. He opened hospital doors to visiting veterinarians looking to learn the advanced surgical techniques employed at Levittown Animal Hospital, including the specialists that would go on to found Long Island Veterinary Specialists.
Today, co-Medical Directors Dr. Sue Fischman and Dr. Olivia Drutjons partner to offer the highest quality standard of care for our patients, while operating a leading animal hospital that offers the future of veterinary medicine.

We are a fully equipped, 2 DVM, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital located in Nassau County, Long Island. In addition to diagnostic and preventative services, our hospital is equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, cold therapy laser, and CryoProbe, and was one of the first Low Stress Handling hospitals on Long Island. Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an individual (or individuals) to join our practice as an Associate Veterinarian, on either a part-time or full-time basis. The ideal candidate is someone who strives to provide the best possible care for patients and wants an opportunity to learn and drive the growth of our hospital.
We are currently a 2 Doctor practice looking to build our team. Our hospital encourages teamwork, continuing education, team consultation, and the highest quality care. We make it a priority to ensure our whole team has a positive work-life balance tailored to their individual needs. Our dedicated, long tenured and well-trained support staff play a critical role in helping to make the client, patient and doctor experience the best it possibly can be.
Candidates with a strong interest in surgery, dentistry, preventative medicine and general practice are encouraged to apply. We are also open to candidates with other special interests, such as holistic medicine.
Requirements:
New York State Veterinary Board License - must be in good standing, prior to start date
Flexible work schedule, with availability to work some weekends and holidays (as necessary, per hospital)
DVM or VMD level degree required
