Job Title: Senior Staff AccountantHave you got the right qualifications and skills for this job Find out below, and hit apply to be considered.Compensation: $70,000-85,000Location: Downtown San Antonio | In office Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Staff Accountant with a strong understanding of job costing and Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, processing payroll, and ensuring reliable project-based accounting. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policies Maintain accurate records of all fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation calculations Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Process weekly and monthly payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness Process payroll tax deposits and complete monthly and quarterly tax filings Prepare and maintain monthly union and certified payroll reporting Participate in month-end and year-end close activities Apply job costing principles to track and allocate costs accurately across projects Utilize Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting to recognize revenue and expenses in alignment with project progress Work closely with project managers to ensure financial data reflects actual job performance and timelines Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Solid xhuatnn understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Experience with general ledger systems and payroll processing Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., Spectrum, Sage, or similar) Hands-on payroll experience, including certified and union payroll, payroll tax payments, and filings + Experience with job costing and POC accounting in a construction or project-based environment is strongly preferred #LI-MB1 #ZRCFS #seniorstaffaccountant #construction #payroll #accounting #INNOV2025Click here to apply online
