It’s about nurturing curiosity, faith, belonging, and lifelong learning.This is a leadership role for an experienced early childhood professional who is passionate about mentoring teachers, partnering with families, and building a high-quality, Christ-centered learning environment where children and staff thrive.If you’re ready to lead with heart, vision, and purpose, we’d love to meet you*About Our Little Village Learning Center*We are a Christ-centered, family-focused learning community rooted in:* Christ-Centered Care* Family Partnership* Hospitality* Discovery & Exploration* Community ConnectionWe believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, encouraged, and inspired.*What You’ll Do*As Director of Education, you will serve as the educational leader of our center, guiding curriculum, supporting teachers, and ensuring excellence in early learning.*Leadership & Curriculum** Lead and continuously improve a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with SD DSS and QCSD standards* Collaborate with teachers to design, review, and strengthen lesson plans* Ensure classrooms are engaging, organized, and stimulating both indoors and outdoors* Stay current on early learning best practices and introduce thoughtful improvements*Team Development** Mentor, coach, and support teachers through classroom observations and performance reviews* Lead professional development and continuing education planning* Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive team culture* Hire classroom staff in collaboration with the Director of Operations*Family & Community Engagement** Build strong relationships with families through open, respectful communication* Support tours and enrollment conversations* Partner with volunteers and community members to enhance programming* Share curriculum and learning experiences with parents in meaningful ways*Operations & Compliance** Ensure compliance with state regulations, policies, and accreditation requirements* Support quality improvement initiatives and accreditation self-study* Partner with the Director of Operations on scheduling, safety protocols, and emergency preparedness* Maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies*Faith-Based Leadership** Lead within a Christian environment* Support a Christ-centered curriculum* Be comfortable leading children in prayer and integrating biblical values into daily learning*What We’re Looking For*We’re looking for a leader who is confident, compassionate, and committed to excellence. xhuatnn *Required Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)* Minimum of 30 ECE credits* 5 years of experience in early childhood education* At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience* Strong understanding of child development and curriculum design* Excellent communication, organization, and technology skills* CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)*You’ll Thrive Here If You Are:** A natural mentor who enjoys developing others* Organized, proactive, and solutions-focused* Warm, approachable, and emotionally intelligent* Passionate about faith-based education* Comfortable balancing leadership, compliance, and creativity* Energized by building something meaningful in a growing center*Physical Requirements** Ability to engage actively with children (lifting up to 45 lbs, sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling)* Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions* Ability to move throughout the facility during the day*Why Join Our Little Village?** Purpose-driven leadership role* Supportive, mission-aligned team* Opportunity to shape curriculum and culture* Deep community and family connection* Work that truly matters — every single dayJob Type: Full-timePay: $42,000.00 - $47,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Employee discount* Health savings account* Paid time offWork Location: In person
