This is a highly visible role responsible for overseeing billing, cash application, and overall AR operations while developing staff, optimizing processes, and supporting the company's financial health and cash flow objectives. The company offers: Competitive salary 401(k) match Profit sharing Generous PTO 9 paid holidays A collaborative culture focused on growth, quality, and operational excellence Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development Lead a team of AR professionals by providing daily guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations. Manage hiring, onboarding, and training to ensure a knowledgeable and high-performing AR staff. Establish clear expectations, workflows, and KPIs to drive accountability and continuous improvement. AR Operations Management Oversee all billing, cash application, and payment posting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies. Review and approve complex or escalated invoices, adjustments, and reconciliations. Monitor AR aging trends, payment patterns, and account discrepancies, partnering closely with Credit/Collections to drive timely cash receipt. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Customer Service, Project Management, Sales, and Operations teams to address billing issues, resolve disputes, and improve customer communication. Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders on AR-related processes, reporting, and problem resolution. Process Improvement & Reporting Analyze AR performance metrics, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to streamline billing and cash application workflows. Develop and maintain AR policies, SOPs, and internal controls to support accuracy and audit readiness. Provide regular reporting on AR metrics, aging, and cash application trends to finance leadership. Audit & Compliance Support Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external audits. Ensure AR operations follow GAAP standards and internal compliance requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. 10+ years of Accounts Receivable or related financial operations experience, including 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role. Strong knowledge of AR best practices, billing workflows, cash application processes, and controls. Experience working in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Proficiency with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
