- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform various laboratory tests and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments to animals as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Monitor animals' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to veterinarians
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring to animals recovering from surgery
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, medication administration, and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all animals

- Proficient in pet grooming techniques, including bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Knowledge of dog training methods and ability to assist with basic obedience training
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and ability to effectively communicate with veterinarians and other staff members
- Experience in kennel management, including animal feeding, exercise, and cleaning duties
- Skilled in aseptic technique to maintain a clean and sterile environment during medical procedures
- Strong understanding of animal husbandry practices, including nutrition, housing, and general care
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and ability to perform various tests, such as bloodwork or urinalysis
- Understanding of animal physiology and ability to recognize signs of illness or distress in animals
- Experience working with equine patients is a plus
