Location: Chicago, IL (Focus: US Bakeries) Work Hours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM Duration: 6-Month Assignment Job Description We are seeking a Process Improvement Analyst to support the People Services team, focusing on absenteeism management across US Bakeries. This temporary role will lead a key process improvement workstream aimed at strengthening governance, standardising processes, and ensuring a zero-loss mindset in absenteeism control. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end absenteeism process improvement workstream for US Bakeries. Analyze and map current absenteeism management processes (medical leaves, unexcused absences, legal leaves, etc.), outlining roles, responsibilities, and operational cadence. Benchmark practices with Canada and ensure alignment with global People Services standards. Standardize classifications for planned and unplanned absences across North America. Identify and communicate key process gaps and opportunities for improvement, focusing on: Unexcused absences FMLA Workers Compensation Sick day procedures Develop detailed process flowcharts and recommendations for all absence-related categories. Lead project governance including implementation of changes, change management, weekly reporting, and training delivery. Reinforce a zero-loss mindset through coaching, communication, and cross-functional collaboration. Build, maintain, and implement SOPs, procedures, and training materials to support redesigned processes. Establish strong governance to review, control, and continuously improve project performance. Required Skills & Experience Strong expertise managing absenteeism in the US, including FMLA, sick time, STD/LTD, workers compensation, and related compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coach and influence cross-functional teams. Demonstrated analytical abilities, including advanced Excel proficiency. xhuatnn Strong project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder-influence skills. Experience with time and attendance systems (Kronos, Infor, etc.).
