It is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities or qualifications associated with the job.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person preferred with hybrid or remote options available for qualified candidatesBase Salary: $50.00 - $60.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 hours per weekQualifications / ExperienceBS or MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering5-10 years of civil engineering experienceRegistered PE in the state of CAExperience in land development, grading, civil design, water, sewer, storm drain systems, and water & wastewater projectsProject management experienceProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software, and other engineering design toolsProficient oral and written communication skills, including strong technical writing skills for creating reports, proposals, and project documentationProficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam for document management and collaborationProficient organizational skills, including planning, organizing, and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneouslyExperience in construction observation to ensure compliance with design specificationsPrevious experience with supervision of others and can work in a collaborative mannerEffective problem solving and critical thinking skills Duties & ResponsibilitiesIndividual will be responsible for civil engineering, design and project management, including but not limited to the following:Design and prepare project plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports for Public Works Infrastructure and Land Development projectsProvide engineering services during constructionAnalyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projectsPerform complex calculations and use specialized software to ensure accurate project specificationsPrepare and present project proposals to clients, including cost estimates and timelinesCommunicate with clients regarding the status of project scope, schedule, and budget during planning, design, and constructionCollaborate with architects, contractors, agency staff, and other professionals to ensure project successConduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise; ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standardsSupervise and/or coordinate work with other engineers or techniciansMaintain consistent high quality of professionalism and engineering design workBenefitsHealth InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountPaid Vacation TimePaid Sick TimePaid HolidaysRetirement Plan with Matching up to 3% on Annual SalaryOpportunity for Advancement into Stock OwnershipAnnual Performance Bonuses
