We are a 26-bed department level 1 Trauma Center, Accredited Chest Pain and Stroke Center. We are a very busy Emergency Department that serves the Billings and outlying communities from as far east as the Dakotas and South into Wyoming. We have a dedicated Help flight team as well as an EMS ground crew. Shift Details: Full time, 36 hours/week, night shift (1900 - 0700)
· Emergency Department
· Primary Location: St Vincent Regional Hospital
· Additional Details: One year of licensed RN experience in an Emergency Department required.
Assess, recognize and address patients psychological and physical needs- Foster quality of care with the best interests of patients and their families in mind- Communicate compassionately and effectively- Assist in developing individualized treatment plans- Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines- Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs- Participate in clinical team conferences- Follow hospital, regulatory and professional guidelines, policies and procedures
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
A Registered Nurse with an ASN/ADN degree must complete a BSN degree within four (4) years from the Registered Nurse’s date of hire unless the Registered Nurse has a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting. Joseph, or Lutheran Medical Centers as of September 1, 2014 with only an ASN/ADN will be exempt from this requirement. Mary’s, Home Health, and TSFP as of December 31, 2017 with only an ASN/ADN will be exempt from this requirement.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval. (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service.)
Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.- and -Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.- and -See and read computer monitors and documents.- and -Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.- and -May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.
