This role ensures that documentation, communication, and execution of contract requirements are accurate, timely, and aligned with corporate standards.The CCS will interface frequently with contractors and cross-functional internal teams—including Legal, Project Management, Construction Management, Business Development, System Planning, Procurement, Contract Management, and Project Controls—to ensure that contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.The CCS reports directly to the Area Construction Manager, with an indirect reporting relationship to the Contract Conformance Regional Lead (CCRL). Project Dimensions Assigned projects or programs totaling up to ***MM annually. Project durations typically up to 4 years. Includes assignments of elevated complexity. Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and listening skills; able to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. Ability to build strong collaborative relationships across multiple departments. Knowledge of best practices in contract management and conformance. Ability to support negotiation of complex contracting issues. Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Excellent technical writing skills. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities with proactive decision-making. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard business applications. Duties & Responsibilities Support and ensure compliance with the Project Execution contracting strategy. Facilitate preparation of contract exhibits including scopes, specifications, pricing, and special instructions. Assist in drafting technical contract language for assigned projects. Coordinate with the Contract Management Group to ensure functional requirements and contractor clarifications are incorporated into final contract documents. Support project management during contractor negotiations in bidding and contract formation phases. Coordinate project-specific communication plans and participate in contract conformance training for internal teams and third-party personnel. Review contractor submissions for contractual compliance and issue notifications of deviations as needed. Maintain contractor correspondence and documentation logs. Prepare and distribute company correspondence with proper approvals. Manage the full change order process including logs, directives, review of contractor requests, and preparation of approved change orders. Prepare meeting agendas, participate in meetings, and document/distribute meeting minutes for all contract-related discussions. Establish and maintain contract document control and retention systems per company procedures. Review contractor invoices for compliance and coordinate approvals through payment. Collaborate with project teams, CCRL, Contract Conformance Manager, and Legal on contractual issue resolution. Request, monitor, and track Service Request Orders (SROs) for external service providers. Lead contract close-out activities to ensure compliance with all requirements. Submit finalized contract files for retention per company standards. Support internal and external compliance audits. Provide weekly project contractual updates via CCS Flash Reports to the CCRL. Basic / Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Legal, Technical, or Business discipline and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in legal, engineering, construction, contract administration, or contract conformance on construction-related projects (preferably in the gas pipeline industry); OR Associate degree and 7–10 years of relevant experience in the same areas. Experience with contracting processes and issues in energy industry construction projects. xhuatnn Strong understanding of the intent, context, and use of documents within construction contracts.
