We are looking for a full-time, or will consider a part-time dental hygienist, to join our friendly and well-established practice. You would be joining a small but friendly team that assists other team members as much as possible to make the day go smoothly. Many patients have been with the practice for over 30 years, some more than 50, and we often hear how patients feel comfortable and well care for here. We get to know our patients well and they get to know us well because we take the time. We also enjoy a good laugh when the time is right.. We would like you to join in this effort.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and take dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care techniques
- Administer local anesthetics under the direction of the dentist if certified
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Assist with dental procedures as needed
Experience:
- Prior experience is preferred but will consider a recent graduate
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Knowledge of medical documentation and recordkeeping
- Ability to record vital signs accurately
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
