We are looking for a Laboratory Analyst, Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist (MLT/MT) as we grow our workplace testing and clinical sales territories.

*Hours:* Full-time, Dayshift (varied hours), with weekend rotation

*Job summary:*

Laboratory Analyst - Performs toxicology analysis for both clinical and forensic specimens, calibrators, and QC material using LC/MS/MS and immunoassay instrumentation & technology. Prepares samples for testing by utilizing various elution and extraction techniques. Performs molecular-based procedures with a high degree of quality and in accordance to established protocols. Reads and interprets data and issues test reports.

Days/hours – *Monday-Friday*; *dayshift* - varied.

Minimum education/training:
* AS degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology , or
* BS degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science,
* At least six months of applicable work experience preferable.
* If a degreed MLT or MT, must have passed the ASCP (or equivalent) registry examination.

Participates in quality assurance monitors. Collects information as requested
* Participates in proficiency testing.
* Reads and complies with all appropriate safety, technical, and personnel policies and procedures
* Using extraction and elution techniques, sequences and prepares samples, calibrators, QC, and standards for confirmation testing.
* Participates in new method development.
* Makes calculations and prepares solutions and dilutions to produce calibrators, internal standards, and QC materials.
* Properly operates and maintains laboratory equipment, to include PC’s & printers, LC/MS/MS instruments, immunoassay analyzer, refrigerators & freezers, balance, centrifuges, water baths, heat blocks, pH meter, water purification system, pipettes, thermometers, hoods, sonicators, and other equipment as needed.
* Makes suggestions for process improvement

*Minimum requirements:*

_Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science __or medical technology with at least one year of training and/or experience in high __complexity testing; *or*_

_Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical technology or equivalent __education and training as defined in 42CFR493.1489(b)(2)(ii), with at least two years __of training and/or experience in high complexity testing\*;_

Job Type: Full-time
